Smarter Process Experiments

Every production trial costs time. The right experiment makes each one count.

Orthogonal array experiments are one of the most underrated tools in modern process optimisation. At NS KUNSTSTOFFTECHNIK - CZ, they help us learn more from fewer trials while limiting disruption to production.

Their strength lies in efficiency. Instead of testing every possible combination of melt temperature, holding pressure, cooling time, material batch, and other variables, we use a structured experimental matrix to evaluate multiple factors across a relatively small, statistically meaningful set of trials.

That means faster learning, less machine time, and clearer insight into what truly drives quality. 🦾

In automotive plastics, that matters! Tight tolerances, surface finish, and dimensional stability can all be influenced by multiple process parameters working together. Orthogonal arrays help us identify which factors matter most and how strongly they influence process performance.

That knowledge helps us stabilise production, reduce scrap, shorten optimisation cycles, and protect OTIF performance for our OEM and Tier 1 partners. The result is a more efficient path from experimentation to a stable, repeatable process, with reliable parts delivered on time and in full.
